Meet Lila
Artist, Teacher, Creative Spirit
Hello, I'm Lila!
At Lila’s Artistic Workshops, art is more than painting — it’s connection, healing, and self-expression. Lila has been passionate about art for as long as she can remember, first dreaming of becoming an artist at just five years old. Over the years, she explored many forms of art as a hobby, developing both her creativity and her belief in the power of artistic expression. After experiencing a major life-altering accident in early adulthood, Lila discovered just how meaningful art could be as a tool for healing and emotional wellness. This experience shaped her approach to teaching and inspired her to create welcoming, supportive painting classes for people of all ages and abilities.
Why Take Classes with Me?
Lila has worked extensively with children, including kids with disabilities, and loves helping young artists build patience, listening skills, confidence, and self-esteem through creativity. She believes art gives children a healthy outlet to express feelings they may not yet have words for.
She has also brought painting experiences to seniors’ homes and hospitals, encouraging participants to find joy in small moments, focus on positive thoughts, and enjoy the creative process. Her group painting classes often include thoughtful conversations about how art reflects life — reminding us to appreciate what we can control and let creativity guide us.
Whether you are young or young at heart, Lila believes art has value far beyond the canvas.
Join us to discover the wonder of colour, experience creativity as a healing journey, and bring home a masterpiece you can be proud of.
My Teaching Philosophy
My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that art is a tool for expression, healing, and personal growth. I strive to create a welcoming, non-judgmental environment where everyone feels comfortable exploring creativity at their own pace. Whether working with children, adults, seniors, or individuals who benefit from art therapeutically, I focus on building confidence, patience, and self-expression through the creative process. Art reflects life — we each bring our own experiences, emotions, and perspectives to the canvas. Everyone is on their own journey, and in my classes, the goal isn’t perfection — it’s finding joy in creating and taking pride in what you make.
